DEVELOPMENT OF GREEN ECONOMY IN UZBEKISTAN: INTEGRATION OF ECOLOGICAL SUSTAINABILITY AND ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY

Abstract
This study comprehensively examines the current state, challenges, and future prospects of forming a green economy in Uzbekistan. The article provides a complex analysis of the reforms being implemented under the Presidential Decree No. PF-60 of March 1, 2022 ("Uzbekistan — 2030" Strategy) and Resolution No. PQ-350 of August 28, 2023 ("Green Economy Transition Concept"). Based on empirical data for 2021-2024, key indicators of green investment dynamics, renewable energy capacity, CO₂ emission reductions, and green job creation are assessed. Through SWOT methodology, sectoral analysis, and regional comparative analysis, Uzbekistan's strategic position in green transition is identified. The study develops policy recommendations across 7 directions, the implementation of which could transform Uzbekistan into a regional green economy hub by 2030 and attract an additional USD 1.5 billion annually in international investment.
