Abstract
This article investigates the simultaneous heat and mass transfer process under laminar flow conditions in a rectangular channel. Grain drying, which is widely used in agriculture, is selected as a practical problem. The differential equations governing heat transfer are solved using analytical and semi-empirical methods, and the variations of the Nusselt and Sherwood numbers along the channel are quantitatively evaluated. The obtained results are visualized in the Python programming environment.
