Abstract

This article analyzes the essence of the human capital theory, the main directions of investment in it, as well as the current problems existing in the Republic of Uzbekistan in this field. The study examines the impact of investments in education, healthcare, science, skills development and other directions on economic growth, based on modern economic theories, international experience and statistical data. Taking into account the Human Development Index (HDI) indicators in our country, the PISA rating results in the field of education, the quality of medical services, the level of science financing, as well as labor migration problems, effective ways to develop human capital are proposed. The mechanisms of increasing the competitiveness of the national economy and ensuring sustainable development through the activities of educational institutions, healthcare organizations and skills development centers are also analyzed. The study substantiates methods of integrating the process of investing in human capital through public-private partnership, optimizing the efficiency of labor resources and improving personnel policy. The results of the article are presented as practical recommendations for the development of investment in human capital, adaptation of the quality of education to international standards and increasing the potential of labor resources in our country.
