Abstract

This study investigates the process of deep water infiltration in agricultural soils under irrigation and rainfall conditions using a comprehensive approach. The research analyzes the vertical distribution of soil moisture, water movement through upper and lower soil layers, and the impact of irrigation practices on infiltration processes. The results indicate that irrigation water forms relatively stable infiltration channels in the upper soil layer, increasing the rate of water penetration and enhancing moisture transfer to depths greater than one meter. Furthermore, maintaining high soil moisture levels was found to play an important role in ensuring agroecosystem stability under changing climatic conditions. Based on the obtained results, the mathematical model describing the infiltration process was improved, and its practical application potential was discussed.
