Abstract
This paper examines the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for the control of copper smelting furnaces. The role of machine learning algorithms in automating technological processes, improving energy efficiency and smelting quality, as well as in predictive equipment diagnostics, is analysed. A three-level intelligent control system architecture based on IoT sensors, neural networks and SCADA systems is proposed. Comparative analysis demonstrated: energy consumption reduction by 18–22%, unplanned shutdowns reduced by 75%, and defect rate decreased from 6–9% to 2–3%.
