Abstract

This article emphasizes the role and impact of clickbait as a modern linguistic phenomenon in digital communication. It focuses on how attention-grabbing headlines and emotional vocabulary affect readers’ behavior and influence what they choose to read. Clickbait strategies, such as exaggeration, curiosity gaps, and persuasive language, are used to attract audience attention and increase engagement. These methods of clickbait help websites get more visitors, but they can also mislead readers. The article highlights how clickbait reflects current language trends and affects the quality of online information in the digital era.
