ROLE OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES IN UZBEKISTAN AND THE KEY ELEMENTS OF THEIR FINANCIAL STRATEGY

Abstract
The article examines the formation of financial strategy for small and medium-sized enterprises under conditions of limited access to financial resources, using the Republic of Uzbekistan as a case study. Based on official statistical data, the dynamics of SME development, lending volumes, and bank interest rates for 2020–2025 are analyzed. The study identifies key financing constraints, including the high cost of borrowed capital, insufficient collateral, and limited availability of alternative financing sources. Key elements of SME financial strategy aimed at enhancing financial stability, investment activity, and risk reduction are substantiated.
