THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATION: OPPORTUNITIES, RISKS, AND PROSPECTS

Abstract
This article analyzes the role of artificial intelligence technologies in the educational process, their pedagogical opportunities, existing risks and challenges, as well as future development prospects. The study highlights the impact of generative artificial intelligence tools on the activities of teachers and learners, the organization of personalized learning, the automation of assessment processes, the creation of digital content, the development of independent learning, and issues of academic integrity. The article also develops recommendations for the effective use of artificial intelligence in education based on a system of practical tasks related to AI use, international statistical data, tables, and diagrams. Statistical data indicate that the use of AI among higher education students, teachers, and educational institutions is increasing rapidly
