Abstract

In this article, a novel model-based approach was developed for evaluating protocol efficiency in highly dynamic and resource-constrained IoT (Internet of Things) networks. Unlike conventional methodologies, this approach integrates discrete-event simulation with analytical modeling approximating Markov processes. The results accurately identified stability boundaries across key performance indicators, including network latency, packet loss, and energy consumption. Additionally, principles for dynamically adjusting parameters were presented, expanding the network's ability to adapt to varying conditions. This methodology plays a crucial role in enabling efficient resource utilization, preventing disruptions, and conserving battery power in IoT networks. The article also introduces new directions for ensuring stable and high-quality communication among IoT devices in real-world environments through model-optimized protocols.
