STEAM EDUCATION AS A TOOL FOR REDUCING TECHNOLOGICAL INEQUALITY: THE PARADOX OF ACCESSIBILITY AND ELITISM

Abstract
The article is devoted to a contradiction that is rarely placed at the center of academic discussion on STEAM education: despite the declared goals of democratizing knowledge and reducing social inequality, this approach de facto reproduces elitism through infrastructural barriers, the technological divide, and uneven pedagogical readiness. Based on international reports and national statistics, the authors identify systemic limitations of the STEAM model and propose an analytical framework for adapting it to the conditions of developing educational systems.
